To enhance one's fortune, always sleep and work facing in our own auspicuous direction. When one lies down to sleep, his head should be pointed to his auspicuous direction.
In the Ba zan feng shui school of thoughts, the house we stay in and the place in which we conduct our business is broadly catergorized by two types namely the East house (Dong Si Zan) and the West house (Xi si zan). At the centre of the house or office, the place is sub-divided into eight portions-North, South, West, East, North West, North East, South West, South East. For Dong Zi Zan, the auspicuous portions of such category lies in N,E,S & SE. For Xi Si Zan, it lies in the NW, NE, SW and W.
Similarly, our individual life can also be categorised into 8 groups which are mainly Qian (6), Dui (7), Gen (8), Zhen (3), Xun (4), Kan (1), Kun (2) & Li (9). This can be calculated using the fengshui formula with our year of birth. For male, last 2 digits of the birth yr shall minus with 100. Then divide by 4. The remainder numbers is the fengshui life number. For example, guy born in 1985, 100-85 = 15. use 15 divide by 9 gives the remainder of 6. This guy belongs to Qian (6)-Xi Si Ming. His auspicuous dir lies in NW,NE,SW and W. For female, use the last 2 digits of her yr of birth and subtracts 4 from it. Divide the sum with 9 and find out the remainder number. For example, lady born in 1965. 65-4=61. 61 divide by 9 gives remainder as 7. This lady belongs to Dui (7)-Xi Si Ming. Her best direction lies in NW, NE, SW and W.
Xi Si Ming (west life) are suited to stay in Xi Si Zan while Dong Si Ming (east life) are suited to stay in Dong Si zan. When one is unable to stay in a house which suit her life. The next best thing to do is to sleep (head pointed towards a dir) and work facing her good directions. Aupicuous direction for west life is NW, NE, SW and W. Aup dir for East life is N,S , SE and E.
